Lab 01 · Hello, Network
A network is just computers connected so they can talk. Each one has an IP address, like a home address (for example 192.168.1.10). A ping sends a tiny test message to an address and waits for a reply. If one comes back, the two machines can talk. You type commands in the terminal on the right. Click a computer in the diagram to switch which one you are typing on.
What you will do
- Meet your machine
- Your first ping
- Go look at the other machine
- Fix the typo
- Capture the flag
