Lab 03 · Mask Mix-up
Every IP address has two parts: the network (which street) and the host (which house). A subnet mask tells a computer where that split is. /24 means the first three numbers are the street. So 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.200 are on the same street and count as neighbours. Two computers can only talk directly if they agree on who their neighbours are.
What you will do
- Read a mask
- A one-way conversation
- Check the other side
- Make them agree
- Capture the flag
